Upcoming Events

There are many events happening each week here at Central College Presbyterian Church in which you will want to be involved. Below are a list of significant events to consider in the near future. To review a list of every church activity over the upcoming 4 weeks, click here.

 

 

  • Tuesday, May 13 - Church Officers Meeting - ALL new church officers will meet for orientation and workshop on Tuesday, May 13, 7:00-9:00 in Ballard Hall AND Tuesday, May 20, 7:00-9:00 in Ballard Hall.
  • Friday, May 16 - Delaware County Habitat Golf Outing - CCPC is involved with this Habitat Group. - A fund-raising golf outing is planned for Friday, May 16 at the Oakhaven Golf Course in Delaware. The cost is $75 per person or $300 for a foursome and will include golf, cart, short game clinic, picnic and door prizes. Entry forms are available in the Welcome Center in the Habitat wall pocket. If you need more information or want to donate household items for the family, contact Delaware County Habitat for Humanity at 740-363-9950.
  • May 16 & 17 - Pre-Marital Workshops Scheduled - A new series of "Before You Say I-DO" workshops have been scheduled. Click HERE for more information or for more about Central College Counseling click HERE.
  • Saturday, May 17 - CPR Classes - CPR classes being offered, Saturday, May 17, 2:00-6:00 in Ballard Hall. Participants can choose from: Basic Heart Saver- adult, infant and child CPR, and choking. This includes a certification card, and the cost is $32 or Friends and Family- adult, infant and child CPR and choking without the certification card for just
    $13. Both classes will include a review of the church AED located near our Welcome Center. Please register at the Welcome Center or by calling Amy Taylor at 882-2347 ext 178.
  • Sunday, May 18 - Celebration Sunday at CCPC - On May 18th we will celebrate the Lord’s presence in one spirit and voice. In word, prayer, music and laughter, we will rejoice as one congregation in a single service starting at 10:30am (replacing the usual 3-service schedule). A special service highlighting our own musicians and choirs will be followed by a casual lunch and guest singers, a comedian and a children’s program. Plan now to celebrate with your family and friends what God is doing at CCPC. Casual attire, lunch and drinks provided. More details to follow but lpease reserve the date into the afternoon.
  • Monday, May 19 - Leadership Community Meeting - The monthly Leadership Community Meeting for this month will be Monday, May 19. We will begin with worship in the Sanctuary at 6:30, followed by individual meetings.
  • Wednesday, May 21 - - Another fun way to enjoy fellowship and family time is to dine at Max & Erma’s on Wednesday, May 21, being sure to take a coupon from the Welcome Center area. This will ensure that 20% of each total bill will be donated by Max& Erma’s to our “The Best Is Yet to Come” campaign. The coupon is also availableby clicking HERE. All are welcome to take a few coupons to share with friends—a coupon is required for each separate bill. (Please note: Flyer distribution on Max & Erma’s property is prohibited, and will result in the forfeiture of our entire donation! Do not take flyers to the restaurant and offer them to others!)
  • Wednesday, May 21 - The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be Wednesday morning, May 21 at 6:00, in Ballard Hall. You’ll want to be there for this important time of sharing breakfast and friendships with other men of the church.
  • Monday, May 26 - CCPC OFFICES CLOSED - The church offices will be closed Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.
  • Friday, May 30- Amore CCCA An Evening In Venice - Rescheduled - Due to inclement weather the Amore CCCA - an Eevning In Venice buffett and silent auction event has been re-scheduled for Friday, May 30 at Vila Milano. The GREAT news is that if you couldn't come before...perhaps your schedule will allow you to now. Click HERE for all of the details.
  • June 14-28 - Upcoming New Orleans Mission Trip - are the dates of our next Katrina Relief Mission. Participants may join us for one week ($250 cost) or both weeks ($400). Volunteers should be age 18 & over. All skill levels are welcome—construction and remodeling skills are bonus. The registration deadline is May 18. Call Kevin Heckathorn at

  • June 16-20 - Camp Creation 4 - “Children of the Light” June 16-20 are the fun dates, $75.00. Registration forms are in the Welcome Center wall pockets—the registration deadline is April 30. Click HERE for CampCreation flyer and click HERE for registration form.
  • June 26-29 - The Stepping Stones and Glory Ringer Bell Choirs are planning a Mission Bells trip to northern Ohio to once again share music and games with the children of migrant workers. The trip also includes a visit to the Toledo Zoo and worship with
    the congregation of the Pemberville Presbyterian Church. The dates are June 26 – 29. Contact Penny Ellsworth for more information. We will accept donations of art supplies to share with the children so watch for good buys on markers, scissors, paper, coloring books, etc.
  • July 3-July 12 - Youth Choir and Mission Tour. Click HERE for all the details.
  • July 28-August 1 - Vacation Bible School - NEW!! - Circle July 28-August 1 on your calendars—this evening program will have a broader age range: 3 years - completed 6th grade! (We’ll have something extra special for the Stepping Stone 5th & 6th graders.) Volunteers of all sorts are needed, from those that can build sets to those who love sharing with kids.
