In the beginning, "The Rock" of our relatoinship with God was whole, and He walked with His creation. A chasm was created between God and His people when sin came into the world through Adam and Eve.

The longer, more vertical line through The Rock represents the 'break' in this relationship. Jesus came to us and died as the sacrafice for all our sins. The horizontal line forms a cross and 'bridges' the gap restoring our relationship with God.
